North Queensland Minimally Invasive Surgery is a purpose built facility for surgical management of general surgical conditions. Minimally Invasive Surgery means "Less Pain" and "Faster Recovery" enabling you to return to your normal routine as quickly and as comfortably as possible.

NQMIS is a group of five Specialist Surgeons based primarily at the Mater Medical Centre in Townsville but also have clinics at the Ingham Hospital, Charters Towers Hospital and Ayr Medical Group.  Each of our Surgeons has extensive experience in general and laparoscopic surgery, with subspecialty interests in obesity, breast, thyroid, hepatobiliary pancreatic, skin cancer and melanoma surgery.
